I’m a Californian through and through who’s currently residing in Boston. But you’ll probably figure this out as I’m guessing I’ll make plenty of statements about “how we do things in California.” I hate being one of those people. I’m afraid I just might be. Currently I spend much of my time on my couch reading or at a desk learning as I pursue a Master’s degree in Gastronomy at Boston University. After I spent a good number of post-undergrad years trying to figure out if I wanted to move my so-called career into the food world, I decided to make the biggest leap possible and quit my job to go back to school. Gulp. It’s working out okay so far. This blog is my creative outlet for sharing my most random thoughts and most delicious food adventures. It is here where I’ll get to use all my least academic words and phrases, most notably the contraction.

Dude! I am a Californian who moved to Boston to go to Boston College for a master’s degree. I have since moved back to CA (two Boston winters were enough). I think I need to follow your blog now.
How do I subscribe for email for you site? :O
Also a through and through Californian who moved to Boston, has a food blog and is in the Food industry.
Glad to see I’m not alone.
Me, too! It’s just a little bit different out here, eh? I love the concept of your blog and can’t wait to read more!
Thanks! I’m not much of a writer but I’m trying. Definitely different! Impatiently waiting for spring!
A success of a blog. I enjoy reading posts for a little escape into gingerandjam. Hope all is well out in Boston.

Debby, thank you for the wonderful compliments! I’m so glad to hear you’ve had success with some of my recipes and that you enjoy my stories and ramblings. 🙂
I’ve just nominated you for a Liebster award. Please don’t feel pressured to respond. I do so to share what I admire with other people around me and hope that they also gain something from your little space on the web. Thank you for the inspiration that you provide me to stretch and challenge my blogging skills. Leah
